Contractor Benefits
At Lucid, we believe every W-2 contractor deserves peace of mind and the freedom to build a secure future while doing their best work. That’s why we offer a range of optional benefits—including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) retirement savings—to support your overall well-being and long-term financial goals. Our flexible plans empower you to choose the coverage and protections that fit your life, so you can focus on your work while we help take care of the rest.
When am I eligible for benefits?
You are eligible to add health benefits during the open enrollment period or during your onboarding process. New employees are eligible to begin insurance coverage effective the first day of the month following 30 days of your date of hire. The 401(k) retirement savings plan is available after one year of employment.
What medical plans does Lucid offer?
Lucid offers four optional medical plans, each designed for different levels of coverage to suit your needs.
Additionally, we offer a wide variety of supplemental insurance policies to help fill any gaps in your major medical coverage and give you an added layer of financial protection.
Do all plans include preventive care?
Yes—all medical plans cover preventive services at 100%.
Do plans include virtual care?
Yes. Every plan includes access to virtual urgent care, and several plans also include virtual behavioral health services.
What dental options are available?
Lucid offers two dental plans—basic, preventative dental or expanded coverage to include major services in addition to your regular care.
What does vision coverage include?
Our vision plan provides coverage for annual eye exams, and allowances for eyeglass frames, eyeglass lenses, and contact lenses.
Is a 401(k) available?
Yes—contractors may elect to participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan after one full year of employment, offering an easy way to invest in your financial future. Lucid matches up to 3% of your contributions.
How do I enroll in benefits?
You’ll complete an enrollment form, select the plans you want, and submit your elections. Changes can only be made during open enrollment or after a qualifying life event.

Am I required to enroll in the medical plan to be eligible for dental or vision?
