Dave’s Lucid Story:
· You’re the new guy on the Lucid team. Has anything surprised you about your new team? I was impressed right away with the speed and efficiency of the delivery team. When a client has a need, we always respond within a couple of days with quality options.
· You have an impressive track record in business development and sales. What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned about building long-term client relationships? It is ALL about relationships. I feel like partnership means you have each other’s best interest in mind in everything. It’s also important to understand when it’s time to invest in the relationship --not everything we do needs to lead to an invoice.
· What’s a moment when you knew you’d really made a difference for a client? There has been a lot over the years, but one that stands out is when I had a client who needed a couple of development teams for a big project. The consultants just hit it out the park. We added a lot of value, and I was given supplier of the year award for a $22 billion dollar company. Big or small, it’s so rewarding to see the teams we build make a huge impact.
· You spend a lot of weekends at youth sports events. What’s your best life hack for getting through a tournament weekend unscathed? Well so far it has been mostly my older boys' activities, so my 6-year-old daughter tags along as well. The key is to bring plenty of snacks and for those baseball tournaments a canopy for shade.
· What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long or stressful day at work? I truly love being with my family in the evening and helping with dinner and homework. There's almost always a sports practice or game to go to as well, so we don’t get a lot of down time in the evenings.
· Do you have any mottos or catchphrases you use all the time? I don't know if I have any good mottos, but I do have a general “YOLO” attitude. My wife says that my bucket list is forever long!
